SLIIT presents MASON at ICFF Launch Pad 2026, taking place from May 17–19 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. Designed by Solomon Choi and Ryan Jang, the 3D printed modular furniture system reflects the studio’s ongoing interest in adaptable living, additive manufacturing, and contemporary spatial experiences.
Rather than approaching furniture as a singular static object, MASON was conceived as an expandable system capable of shifting between residential and commercial applications. The modular structure can transform into bookshelves, stools, display systems, and other functional arrangements, encouraging users to continuously reinterpret the object based on changing needs and environments.
Each plate features connection points on all four sides, allowing users to insert joints and infinitely expand the structure into endless configurations. The resulting system balances structural clarity with visual simplicity, while emphasizing adaptability.
MASON explores how modularity can shape more personalized spatial experiences. By designing a system rather than a fixed piece of furniture, the project embraces transformation as an essential part of contemporary living. Designed by Solomon Choi and Ryan Jang, the duo continues to actively contribute to New York’s contemporary design scene through exhibitions and projects.
